Folded and creased picture
Glued to the page
Circa early 1950's
Black and white of course
Perforated edges as torn
Out of another album
A lopsided wooden church
With a steeple
Looms large
In the background
A handsome young man poses
With his foot on the fender
Of a late model Pontiac
My grandmother dressed
In her darkest Sunday best
Inadvertently passes through
The path of the camera's lens
And just as the Kodak clicks
Covers her face with a
Widespread hand
