GROUNDED FOR LIFE
sad to be a bird
that is unable
to take flight for
with a broken wing
although you were
born to fly racing
the wind floating
effortlessly on air
this malady
impedes your growth
to the next level
of life as you
ponder in
despair and discontent
knowing full well
you should be soaring
with the clouds above
not mired to
the ground below
