This just in for Chicago residents, as well as those in the vicinity:

The Poetry Foundation Library at 61 Superior Street presents, in association with the Poetry Society of America,  Poetry Off The Shelf: The Voice of Women in American Poetry. This reading series celebrates the great tradition of American women poets. It takes place on Thursday, June 19, 2014 and is free and open to the public.

ALSO...On Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer months, the Poetry Foundation Library presents POEMTIME.

This storytime event introduces poetry to children from 2-5 through fun, interactive readings and crafts. 

For grades 6-8 the library offers Junior High School Summer Poetry Camp. It will be presented on Tuesdays, 7/8-7/22, (3) consecutive weeks, from 1:30 -3:30 pm. This camp is free and open to poetry-loving youth of all experience levels              
For grades 9 & 10 the library offers Teen Summer Poetry Camp 1 on Thursdays, 7/10-7/24 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

For grades 11 & 12 the library offers Teen Summer Poetry Camp 2 on Thursdays 7/10-7/24 from 1:30-3:30 pm.
