Celebrated musicologist Don Michael Randel, president emeritus of the University of Chicago, leads an exploration of interpretation and expression in Robert Schumann’sDichterliebe. Tenor Jonathan Johnson, a member of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and pianist Craig Terry, Ryan Opera Center music director, perform the masterpiece in its entirety.
