"The Mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ‘n’ roll” – wrote rock critic Lester Bangs. This multimedia event at the Poetry Foundation will include readings from the band’s lyric book, discussion, acoustic renditions of songs, and more.

Rush Hour Concert: Spektral Quartet featuring poems by Russell Edson & Mark Strand

Selections from Dave Reminick's "The Ancestral Mousetrap," the libretto of which is taken from the darkly absurd poetry of Russell Edson, share the bill with Arvo Pärt's "Fratres." Actor Michael Patrick Thornton will read prose poems by Mark Strand in conjunction with Pärt's music.
